The Heart Behind Remote Study Academy

Remote Study Academy was founded in 2020 on a simple but powerful idea: language learning should be personal, intellectually engaging, and globally relevant.

I’m Yoly Rueda—an educator, historian, and certified translator dedicated to helping professionals and committed learners find their voice in a globalized world.

An Academic Foundation

My approach to teaching English is grounded in a rigorous academic background. I hold a Bachelor of Arts from New York University (NYU) in Fine Arts and History, and a Master’s in International Relations from Universidad Francisco Marroquín.

To ensure my students receive the highest standard of online instruction, I am currently completing a Master’s in Education through the University of the People. Being both an instructor and a student allows me to continuously refine the Remote Study experience from both perspectives.

As a Certified English-Spanish Translator in Guatemala, I understand the level of precision required in professional communication.

A Personal Approach

Outside the classroom, I spend my time reading mythology, exploring history, and enjoying life with my family—especially my two dachshunds, Dante and Emma.

I believe education should have no borders, and I’m committed to helping my students grow not only as English speakers, but as confident thinkers and global citizens.
